Fatal incident at Valmet’s flow control factory in India

A serious workplace incident occurred at Valmet’s factory in Ambernath, India on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. The incident caused fatal injuries to an employee of Valmet’s contractor. Two Valmet employees were also injured during the incident and have now been released from the hospital. Valmet has initiated an incident investigation and is cooperating with authorities.

“Our thoughts are with the deceased’s family and colleagues. We have secured the location and are providing employees the needed psychological support,” says Vishwas Lele from Valmet.

The Ambernath factory produces flow control equipment and employs approximately 100 persons.
