Customer case:

Norske Skog Skogn replaced old consistency sensors with Valmet SP

Feb 1, 2021

Norske Skog's Skogn mill in Norway manufactures newsprint paper with the total production at the mill's 3 paper machines being 520 000 t/a. PM2, where the mill installed new 4th generation Valmet Blade Consistency Measurement, produces 150 000 t/a using a DIP content of 20%.

Stable and accurate blade consistency measurement
We replaced 2 rotaries with Valmet SP since there were some problems to access repair kits. The Valmet SP on TMP has shown a very stable and accurate measurement, we have had no problems with the new blades, since installation in February 2019.
