Valmet to provide multiple Valmet IQ quality control systems for tissue machines in Asia Pacific

Valmet has received several orders for quality control systems from multiple tissue makers in Asia Pacific. The deliveries will include non-radioactive weight measurements and state-of-the-art online softness measurements. The system with online measurements will enable the mill to optimize tissue softness and creping with real-time information, as well as achieve high quality.
The orders are included in Valmet's orders received for the fourth quarter of 2022. The value of the orders will not be disclosed.

Technical details about Valmet's delivery
The Valmet IQ Quality Control System (QCS) with IQ Softness Measurement will be installed at Chuetsu Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd, Takaoka mill PM6, in Japan.
The delivery to a tissue customer India includes QCS with Valmet IQ Fiber and Valmet IQ Softness Measurements and CD dilution control to its tissue machines 1,2,3. The customer wants to have precise measurement and control for tissue weight, moisture and softness to optimize crepe blade life.
The delivery to a tissue customer in Thailand includes QCS with non-radioactive weight measurement The high-resolution CD profiles measured by Valmet IQ Fiber provide a solid foundation for machine- and cross-direction controls, which ensure accurate and stable sheet quality measurements in the demanding environment of the tissue machine.
