“At Valmet, we have developed our capabilities and services in acoustic pyrometer technology for several years. The partnership with Toshniwal Industries will accelerate our market growth in India," says Kari S. Heikkilä, Director, Partner Business, Automation, Valmet.

“Valmet Acoustic Pyrometers complement our range of Contact & Non-Contact Temperature measurement Instruments and enable us to offer solutions for improving Power Boiler operation,” says Rajeev Toshniwal, Managing Director, Toshniwal Industries.

Information about Valmet Acoustic Pyrometer

Valmet Acoustic Pyrometer is a non-contact measurement device that obtains highly accurate instantaneous gas temperature data in any boiler area. Its key applications include furnace flue gas temperature and temperature distribution measurements.

The device enables boiler operators to significantly reduce slagging by maintaining optimal furnace exit gas temperatures. It also helps manage critical temperature profiles in emissions reduction as well as reduce tube damage or leaks by preventing hot spots and thermal shock. By balancing combustion, it improves heat transfer rate, too.
