Two Metso Paper -supplied Advantage DCT tissue machines have recently been started up successfully in Fujian province, China.

At Fujian HengLi Paper Industry Co., Ltd. in Nanan City, the 2.8-meter-wide TM 1 made its first paper on 6 July and was in continuous production only a few days later. The fact that this was the company's first tissue machine makes the achievement even more impressive.

Fujian HengLi Paper Industry's Advantage DCT 100 tissue machine has a design speed of 1,600 m/minute and daily production of 90 tons. The tissue line includes Metso stock preparation and automation systems.

Prior to this expansion, the core products of the Fujian HengLi Group were female hygiene products, baby diapers and the converting of facial tissue. The Group, which has grown steadily for several years, has nine branch companies in different provinces in China and twelve provincial agencies.

At HengAn (China) Paper in An Hai town, in the city of Jin Jiang, a new PM 4 was started up on 23 July. Within a couple of days the 5.5-meter-wide Advantage DCT 200 tissue machine was producing excellent paper at a basis weight of 18 g/m2 and at a speed of 1,720 m/min. The machine's design speed is 2,000 m/min. The complete tissue line includes a Metso stock preparation and automation system.

HengAn is a leading Chinese producer of hygiene products with a nationwide sales and distribution network.

The standardized Advantage DCT machine concept has been very well received among tissue producers, resulting in eight machines sold during the last twelve months.
