Description: This course describes the purpose and processes in the recausticazion and lime kiln. In addition it also describes the purpose, design and function of the included machines and equipment.

Objective: After the course, the participant should be familiar with the processes in the recausticizing area and lime kiln. The participant should also have knowledge about the purpose, function and design of the equipment included in these areas.

Audience: Personnel working in the white liquor plant.

Pre-requisites: Basic knowledge of the pulp mill recovery cycle is recommended.
