Description: This program is designed to involve participants by including demonstrations, hands-on activities, and problem-solving exercises to the program. Learn roll manufacturers recommended maintenance techniques and procedures. Participate in daily group problem solving exercises involving actual roll performance and reliability issues. Hands-on training and examples provide opportunity to work on actual equipment. Your specific roll performance or reliability questions will be addressed by mechanical maintenance and roll cover experts.

Objective: After successfully completing this course, participants should be able to: - Plan your roll maintenance more efficiently. - Have a better understanding of roll configurations and designs. - Understand important roll handling and repair procedures for different roll types. - Better understand the essential elements for an effective roll maintenance record-keeping program. - Have full knowledge of predictive/preventive maintenance task identification and procedures.

Audience: This class is designed for mill maintenance and operations personnel. Also, this is an ideal opportunity for anyone needing an increase in his or her knowledge of rolls.
