Description: This course offers extensive Recovery boiler training, presenting how the chemicals used in the cooking process are recovered, and energy in the form of steam is generated. The course describes the purpose, function and design of the Recovery boiler components. You will learn the chemical reactions taking place during liquor combustion, but also about flue gas composition, heat transfer and steam generation, how to optimize the operation and production economy.

Objective: After completing course, you should know the design and function of the Recovery boiler. You will understand the basics of the Recovery boiler process and operation.

Pre-requisites: Basic knowledge in pulp and power plants and preferably a technical education is recommended.
