Description: This course deals with the theory, design and operation of Back-T and LIVE-T pieces for column switching.

Objective: Upon completion of this course, the student shall be able to: • install the capillary columns to the Back-T and the Split-Piece • perform a flow adjustment on the device and set the split and purge flow correctly • adjust the measuring method in GCP and carry out a fine adjustment using sample

Audience: This course is intended for people who are responsible for the maintenance or operation of a Maxum process gas chromatograph that has valveless column switching using a Back-T or LIVE-T piece.

Pre-requisites: Basic Maxum Operation with GCP Level 1
