Description: Grate boilers are mainly used to generate steam through the combustion of biofuels, waste fuels and by-products from the industry. In this course you will learn how the Grate boiler is designed to effectively combust these various types of solid fuels and how to produce energy. The course will give an understanding of the function and processes of the boiler. It will also describe the different systems of the grate boiler plant and how they are connected.
Objective: The purpose of this course is to give you knowledge about the design and function of the grate boiler. You will also understand the basics of the processes involved in the combustion of solid fuels.

Pre-requisites: Basic knowledge in power plants and preferably a technical education is recommended.
