Description: This course presents information related to the Evaporators design and function. You will learn about the primary function of the evaporation plant, to remove water from the black liquor and segregate the additional streams mixed into it. We will also study the principles of evaporation and get to know different parts of the process, such as black liquor, condensates, scaling, washing, but also how to optimize the operation of the plant.
Objective: After this course you should know the design and function of the Evaporator system. You should also know the basics of the evaporation process and operation.
Audience: Evaporation plant operators working in a pulp mill.
Pre-requisites: Basic knowledge in pulp mills and preferably a technical education.
