Description: The CFB boiler is a circulating fluidized bed boiler for combustion of biomass, coal and other fuels. This course takes a close look at the boiler pressure parts and other equipment. It explains the purpose of circulating bed material, water, steam and flue gases. You will learn how to achieve efficient combustion while maintaining good emission performance. Each module is followed by a quiz which to support learning and self-assessment. The course includes a final test. This course is the second step in the CFB boiler operation learning path. Objective: To give knowledge in the CFB boiler design and function as well as better understanding of the processes that take place during combustion in a boiler with circulated fluidised bed. After the course, the participant should know the design and function of the CFB boiler, the different media systems and the basics of the process and operation.
Audience: CFB boiler operators and shift leaders.
Pre-requisites: Completion of the CFB boiler basics course, or similar knowledge and experience.
