Description: The CFB boiler is a circulating fluidized bed boiler for combustion of biomass, coal and other fuels. This introductory course gives an overview of the plant and basic CFB concepts. It also highlights important safety issues to be aware of when working in or close to a CFB boiler. The course includes a final test. Objective: This course will give an overview and explain in a visual way the concepts of the CFB boiler. It will provide elementary knowledge about the whole boiler plant and describe how the systems correlate and function.
Audience: Anyone who works in a CFB boiler plant.
Pre-requisites: Basic knowledge in power plants and preferably a technical education is recommended.
