Valmet I/O hardware provides a full range of digital and analog interfaces and high-speed controls for Valmet Controllers, either with single-channel or multi-channel I/O modules. Combining the best of centralized and distributed I/O technologies in a compact format, Valmet's I/O portfolio is simple yet powerful.

I/Os for harsh environments
Valmet I/O hardware is built to withstand the harsh environments of industrial processes while delivering fast control speeds and high-accuracy interfaces. Each unit has conformal coating as standard and an operating temperature up to +70 °C. Optional redundancy on the I/O cabinet level is implemented using dual Fieldbus, power feed, and communication unit per pair. Extensive channel-specific diagnostics, available without additional engineering, ensure you can stay on top of hardware performance. Should an I/O unit need replacing, you change any number of I/O units during operation. Hot swapping is a standard feature of all Valmet I/O models.

Multi-channel I/O
Valmet ACN M80 and M120 series multi-channel I/O units provide robust design and high availability in harsh conditions. ACN M80 is designed for low-voltage and low-current analog/digital applications.
ACN M120 series is designed for high-voltage isolation between the channels and it supports digital interfaces for high DC/AC line voltages without external relays. It also enables high performance in machine condition monitoring and other special features. ACN M120 can also have redundancy on the I/O level when extremely high availability is required.
Valmet ACN M80 and M120 I/O units are compatible with Valmet DNAe and DNA Distributed Control Systems.
Single-channel I/O
A single-channel Valmet Signal I/O extends the I/O modularity even further. You can now choose each I/O interface separately and easily change those later without dependencies. Signal I/O offers low and high voltage I/O, condition monitoring I/O, and special interface modules all in one portfolio.
Signal I/O opens new opportunities in project engineering and work split between the suppliers.
Valmet Signal I/O is compatible with the latest generation Valmet DNAe Distributed Control System.
