A proven technology package for premium tissue performance


Behind the breakthrough is a complete technology package designed to maximize mill performance. New belt materials and patterns create a distinctive textured surface and deliver the desired quality, while the specially developed Advantage ViscoNip press ensures uniformity and excellent runnability. A safer, easier belt loop improves daily operation and enables faster, more efficient maintenance.
 
The concept gives tissue producers the flexibility to enter or expand in the ultra premium North American segment, competing on bulk and softness without the capital intensity, or to upgrade quality in markets where conventional grades dominate.
 
All technologies have been developed and tested at Valmet’s Technology and Pilot Center in Karlstad, Sweden, with converting trials carried out at Valmet’s facilities in Lucca, Italy, ensuring reliable performance from tissue making through to converting.

The Advantage NTTe concept delivers measurable performance with two differentiated product outcomes tailored to key market demands.
 
The Chevron pattern targets conventional 3‑ply segments with a unique visual appearance, combining premium handfeel with outstanding strength above 210 N/m, high dryness levels up to 48%, and excellent runnability with DCT-like convertibility.
 
The Droplet pattern is optimized for the North American market, enabling a competitive 2‑ply product with high caliper, ultra‑soft feel, and efficient TAD-like converting.
 
Both concepts achieve high bulk levels and stable roll quality, demonstrating how Advantage NTTe translates technological innovation into tangible product performance, flexibility, and cost-efficient production.
