Valmet is located near Jyväskylä city center, a 25-minute ride from the airport and less than a 10-minute drive from the chosen hotel, Solo Sokos Hotel Paviljonki.
All the day time activities of Papermakers' Night 2026 will take place in Rautpohja location.

Our chosen hotel, Solo Sokos Hotel Paviljonki, is located in the Jyväskylä harbor, just next to Jyväskylä city center. The hotel is a 20-minute ride from the Jyväskylä airport, and a 3-minute walk from the Jyväskylä train station via a pedestrian bridge.
The flight takes approximately 45 minutes and there are usually two flights a day to and from Jyväskylä.
Please note that we advice you to to pre-book a taxi from the airport to the hotel - there are usually no stand-by taxis at the Jyväskylä airport. Jytaksi is a trusted local taxi service provider. You can book a ride with them from the number +358 100 6900 or download their application from Google Play or App Store and book your ride through the application.
Optionally, you can take a train to Jyväskylä from Helsinki airport with one to two changes, depending on the train shift. The train ride will take approximately 3,5 hours to Jyväskylä. During the train ride, you will get to enjoy the beautiful early summer scenery and Finnish nature, as the train route runs through the lake district area.
Naturally, rental car is an option as well. There is a variety of car rental companies at your service in Helsinki Airport.
