Code of Conduct and related policies
The basis of Valmet’s operations is its Code of Conduct, which creates a uniform and ethical foundation for all our business transactions and work assignments. It also describes our approach to sustainable business operations, people and society and environmental issues.
Valmet’s policies supporting sustainable operations:
- Anti-bribery Policy: Defines our zero tolerance approach to bribery and corruption in more detail.
- Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy: Defines our approach and demonstrates our commitment to managing health, safety and environmental issues at Valmet.
- Sustainable Supply Chain Policy: Describes our requirements for ethical standards and sustainable business practices for suppliers.
- Human Rights Statement: States Valmet’s commitment and respect to human rights.
Certified management systems
Our operations are certified according to the ISO 9001 quality management system standard (87%), the ISO 14001 environmental management system standard (71%) and the OHSAS 18001 health and safety management system specification (62%).
International principles and guidelines
As a global technology and services supplier Valmet operates in a highly multicultural environment. We are committed to the UN Global Compact, which describes a set of universal principles and values which we respect and promote.
Valmet supports and promotes the principles set in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the OECD’s Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
