Valmet to rebuild Reno de Medici's BM3 in Italy

Italian boardmaker Reno de Medici has ordered an extensive rebuild of the BM3 Boardmachine at it’s Villa Santa Lucia Mill in Frosinone, Italy. The rebuild will allow the board machine to produce White Line Chipboard and Coated board for Microflute in the range of 150 – 250 g/m2 at a capacity of 650 t/day.

The delivery comprises a completely new wet end including SymFlo T headbox, a three ply forming section including a Sym-Former MB, a new press section SymPress I including a SymBelt shoe press, a rebuild of the dryer section, a new dryer section after coater, a ValReel reel and new pulpers.

The project is managed by the Valmet operations in Como, Italy. Start-up after rebuild is scheduled for mid September 2001.
