Valmet to rebuild board machine at Iggesund, Sweden

Valmet has received an order from Iggesund Paperboard, Iggesund, Sweden for a rebuild of its board machine KM 1. After the rebuild the Iggesund KM 1 board machine will produce 130,000 tpy of solid bleached board, mostly used in highly demanding applications. The Valmet order comprises a new press section and a rebuild of the pre-dryer section. The KM 1 will start up, after a four-week shutdown, in May 2001.

Valmet has earlier contracts for press pulper and rebuild of the hood to the same project.
