Valmet supplies woodroom modernization to AssiDomän Steti, Czech Republic

AssiDomän Sepap a.s. Steti, Czech Republic, has placed an order for a woodroom modernization for its pulp mill with Valmet Woodhandling Oy. Valmet Woodhandling won the order as a result of long-standing successful business relations with the mill.

The main components of the turnkey order, which also includes erection, commissioning and training, are two GentleFeed systems for the existing barking drums, one complete chipping line consisting of a conveyor line with stones and foreign material separation and a washing station between the barking drum and the chipper, Camura GSTM 3000 Chipper with 12 knives and chip conveyors up to the existing pneumatic conveying line to the chip piles, as well as water handling equipment, optimization systems for two debarking lines, electrification and an extension of the existing control system. Moreover the regulated drives for two existing barking drums are included in the project.

Commissioning and start-up are scheduled for February and March 2001.
