You are warmly welcome at the upcoming XXVI TECNICELPA International Conference - Forest Biobased Materials to be held in Coimbra, Portugal from October 11th to October 13th, 2023.
The venue of the event will be the Vila Galé Hotel, at COIMBRA, allowing the Participants and Exhibitors to contact actively and to enjoy the same space for both the Conference and the Exhibition - EXPOCELPA.
We would be very glad to see you at our stand nb1 where our team of experts will introduce you to our state-of-the-art technologies, automation solutions and services.
Sustainability at your fingertips with Valmet solutions
Come and check our latest proposals as for mill operations or how you can significantly reduce raw material costs by using automation solutions with measurements, controls, and optimization tools. Or the way to minimize your footprint through an holistic approach to reduce energy consumption. We are there for you!
And that’s not all!
The event also includes a rich series of conferences, in which Valmet will take part with its qualified representatives:
- "Valmet's Novel Sleeve Roll Technology Transforms Forming Section", by Tuuli Silomaa, Development Engineer at Valmet
Abstract: The forming section is the biggest user of vacuum energy on paper and board machine lines. Sleeve roll technology does not require vacuum energy, and the power loss due to drag is minimal. Sleeve roll technology therefore saves energy in both the vacuum system and drives of the forming section. Increasing the board production process’s energy efficiency was the starting point for Valmet to develop this new forming technology.
Valmet's novel Sleeve roll technology and Valmet Sleeve Roll Belt won the prestigious 'Palme d'Or' Innovation Award given by the French Paper Industry Technical Association (ATIP).
- "Using mill-wide optimization to maximize pulp production and stabilize operations"
Abstract: The pulp and paper industry has been implementing advanced process control solutions to optimize individual process areas for over three decades, resulting in measurable and sustainable benefits. What has been missing, to avoid suboptimal outcomes at the mill level, is a mill-wide optimization layer to steer individual processes towards higher level objectives. The foundation of mill-wide optimization is mill-wide production planning, which in turn enables both mill-wide quality and energy planning. Implementing an online production planning solution is a crucial first step towards coordinating individual processes and optimizing the mill as a whole. We will present the findings of a trial project for a mill-wide production planning and online advisory solution designed specifically for kraft pulp mills and integrated mills.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
