For Valmet, safety comes first in all the company’s operations. The commitment to safety builds upon three steps: Know it, Believe it and Show it.
Know it
We know that safety is everyone’s responsibility. This responsibility includes knowing safety rules and requirements, understanding safe work procedures and maintaining required safety competencies.
Believe it
We believe that all injuries can be prevented and everyone has the right to return home safe and healthy every day. We also believe that we can all make an impact on health, safety and wellbeing at work.
Show it
We show our safety principles in our everyday behavior. We report unsafe conditions, make safety improvements, do pre-task risk assessments and follow rules. And above all, we take care of each other.
