Valmet has received a Silver Class medal in RobecoSAM's annual Sustainability Yearbook 2018 for its excellent sustainability performance. RobecoSAM is an investment specialist focused exclusively on Sustainability Investing. The Yearbook showcases the sustainability performance of the world’s largest companies and includes the top 15% per industry.
The Sustainability Yearbook lists the world’s sustainability leaders and ranks companies as gold, silver or bronze class on the basis of their performance in RobecoSAM’s annual Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). The CSA is an analysis of economic, environmental and social performance of the world’s leading companies, assessing issues covering climate change strategies, supply chain standards, labour practices, corporate governance and risk management.
"This Silver medal is a great recognition of our leadership in sustainability among our industry. It is also a good acknowledgment of our continuous development in sustainability. Our organization has done a really great job in taking our sustainability agenda action plans forward," says Laura Puustjärvi, Head of Sustainability, Valmet.
"I congratulate Valmet whole heartedly for being awarded a Silver Class medal in The Sustainability Yearbook 2018. The companies included in the Yearbook are the world’s most sustainable companies in their industry and are moving the ESG needle in ways that will help us realize the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals by 2030," says Aris Prepoudis, CEO, RobecoSAM.
