On Friday, January 20, 2023, Arauco produced the first bale of pulp by the new production line of the Arauco MAPA project, which includes major improvements to line 2 and the installation of this new production line (line 3) at the Arauco pulp mill, located in the Biobío region, in Chile.

As part of the machine condition monitoring application, remote diagnostic support provided by Valmet has proved to be an essential aid to predictive maintenance.

Exchanging experiences with pulp washing equipment
Valmet arranged a seminar on 1-2 June 2022 in Tällberg, Sweden, to allow Scandinavian chemical pulp mills to exchange their experience of pulp washing equipment. Around forty people from nine different mills participated in the event, the focus of which was roller presses and washing filters.
