During this visit, you’ll explore SCA Ortviken’s state-of-the-art production line for CTMP, inaugurated in May 2023. The tour includes an inside look at the advanced Fiber Flash Drying system and the efficient baling line—key technologies driving sustainable and high-quality pulp production.

Getting to Valmet Pulp Customer Days

Sundsvall is located in the middle of Sweden, offering beautiful surroundings and easy connections from Stockholm. Whether you choose to fly or take the train, there are convenient options to get here. Below you’ll find details on traveling from Stockholm to Sundsvall, getting from the airport to Hotel Södra Berget, and transportation during the event.

From Stockholm to Sundsvall

There are two convinient ways to get to Sundsvall from Stockholm:
SAS offers domestic flights from Arlanda (ARN) to Sundsvall-Timrå Airport (SDL) a few times per day. 
SJ offers a high-speed train connection about dozen times a day directly from Arlanda Central Station to Sundsvall Central Station.

From Sundsvall Airport to Hotel Södra Berget

The simplest way to get from Sundsvall-Timrå Airport to the hotel is by taxi. Travel time is short, and taxis are readily available outside the terminal.

We have arranged bus transportation between the hotel and the event venues. A Valmet representative will guide you from the hotel lobby to the bus. Departure times are listed in the agenda above.

Practical information

To help you prepare for Valmet Pulp Customer Days, here are some useful details about what to wear and what to expect from the weather in Sundsvall.
 

Event dress code

Business casual attire is recommended. Safety equipment, including a helmet with glasses and safety vest, will be provided during the mill visit. Please wear clothing that fully covers the body and choose comfortable, closed-toe shoes suitable for walking. High heels are not recommended.
 

Weather

Please check the forecast when packing. In March, Sundsvall typically has cold, breezy, and snowy conditions, with average highs around 1°C (33°F) and lows near -5°C (23°F). Warm layers and sturdy shoes are recommended.
 

Power

Sweden uses 230 V electricity with Type F/C sockets. If you are traveling from outside Europe, please bring a suitable adapter.
