Valmet ClO2 Process Analyzer

Chlorine dioxide is the most widely used bleaching agent in the world’s pulp mills accounting for most of the bleaching costs. In all different types of chlorine dioxide production processes, the analysis of chlorine dioxide solution and generator liquor is required for efficient plant operation. To ensure stability of operation, Valmet has introduced the unique Valmet ClO2 Process Analyzer (Valmet AT).

Valmet ClO2 Process Analyzer (Valmet AT) is an automated chemical concentration analyzer which integrates sampling at up to 8 process locations, sample conditioning and chemical titration operations. Sampling, sample line flushing, and analyzer cleaning operations are also completely automatic. 

With a 10-minute sample processing time, Valmet AT provides the accurate, just-in-time chemical analyses from multiple process sampling points so operators and controls can react to changes quickly and manage the process for smooth, economical operation. 

No calibration is needed

Kajaani automatic titrators duplicate industry standards or procedures. The scheduled, repeatable operations remove any systematic or human errors typical of manual sampling and titration.The titrators use standard and safe chemical reagents.

Cleanliness is essential

Only completely clean titration system can provide reliable analysis. In Valmet AT cleanliness is taken seriously, so the entire system is self-cleaning. The sample handling unit and measurement unit are washed with warm water after each analysis. Each sample line is flushed with warm water after every sampling to prevent scaling. The analysis cup is washed chemically. 

Valmet AT is designed for minimum scheduled service needs. However, should a problem occur, Valmet’s service network springs into action, supported by the products’ built in diagnostics and remote communication capability.
