maxDNA Configuration / Maintenance Combination (5 days)

The combination course is targeted for personnel with limited time yet with the responsibilities in both Maintenance and Configuration. Many topics are reviewed providing the student with a strong understanding of the maxDNAsystem in these subject areas. A solid base is established with the reference materials provided for more in depth study on each topic. The emphasis is placed on providing the students with the tools necessary to interrogate and modify an existing configuration. The maintenance of the system components (maxStation, DPU, I/O, and network) and their troubleshooting is also covered..

maxDNA System Overview (5 days)

This course provides a broad overview of the maxDNA System by introducing the student to the system features, functions, and capabilities. The course starts with an explanation of the system architecture and provides a summary of the system hardware components. All the major functions of the maxDNAsystem are presented along with an understanding of the tools necessary to interface with each of these features.

maxDNA Configuration (5 days)

This course will provide the student with detailed maxDNA configuration knowledge. An overview of system architecture and Remote Processing hardware will be presented along with an understanding of the Software Backplane. This course has been recently revised with an emphasis placed on providing the students with the tools necessary to interrogate and modify an existing configuration. Topics include hierarchical identification and grouping, I/O buffers, data acquisition, and control function blocks. The amount of hands-on lab time has been greatly increased from our previous course to allow for ample practice time of the concepts and tools being presented.

maxDNA maxVUE Graphics (5 days)

This course provides the student with the knowledge to design, build, and maintain powerful and effective maxVUE graphic displays for the maxDNA system. A brief review of the system, including system architecture, data structure &access, and the Software Backplane is provided to the student. The basic principles of Human Machine Interfacing, screen organization, and screen design are introduced. The basic drawing tools, techniques, and the maxVUE controls are covered. Learn the mystery behind the magic that makes those great displays. Lots of hands-on exercises –all of which you can take with you.

maxDNA Maintenance (5 days)

This course provides hands-on experience related to installation, calibration, and system hardware troubleshooting. The internal components of the workstation are described to aid in diagnosing problems and installing replacements. The DPU and I/O modules are presented for calibration and replacement. Also covered are the diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques necessary to analyze the system’s network components.

Many topics are reviewed providing the student with a strong understanding of the maxDNAsystem in these subject areas. A solid base is established with the reference materials provided for more in depth study on each topic. This course presents the System Arechitecture, and provides an overview of the maxDNA System by introducing the student to the system features, functions, and capabilities. The tools that interface with these features are also presented. The basic principles of Human Machine Interfacing, screen organization, and screen design are introduced. The basic drawing tools, techniques, and the maxVUEcontrols are covered.
