Metso Paper Como S.p.A. will supply a complete new press section to board machine No.1 of the Italian Alce S.p.A.

The target of the customer is to increase the production in several steps. As the first step, Alce S.p.A. ordered the supply and erection of a new press section, comprising a SymPress Combi in the first position and a separate SymBelt shoe press. The press section rebuild will be carried out of solid stainless steel and it will also include a partial rebuild of the fourdrinier wire.

The new press section will be erected in December 2003 and the machine will start up in January 2004.

Metso Paper was awarded the order thanks to the good relationship of long standing as well as the technological support and complete range of technologies and services Metso Paper is able to offer.

Alce S.p.A., previously called ICL Fornoli and belonging to the Silva Group, is a new company that has been recently split from I.C.L (Industria Chimica del Legno) because of the new partnership with Cartiere Modesto Cardella.
