Metso Paper will deliver a wire section rebuild to UPM-Kymmene's Rauma mill in Finland. The rebuild of the mill's PM 4 will be completed in September 2004.

During the rebuild project, the SpeedFormer type wire section of the machine will be upgraded to an OptiFormer wire section. The target of the rebuild is to improve the paper quality and to increase the runnability and efficiency of the machine.

One of the main reasons for Metso Paper getting the order was a corresponding, successful rebuild carried out at UPM's Kaipola mill in Finland.

The paper machine to be rebuilt has a wire width of 10.1 meters and it produces light-weight coated magazine paper, LWC. The machine was originally supplied by Metso Paper in 1998.
