Metso Paper Receives Gold Supplier Award from Abitibi-Consolidated

On February 18, 2002 Marco Marcheggiani and Harri Parnanen accepted, on behalf of Metso Paper, one of 13 awards presented by Abitibi-Consolidated at their first annual Supplier Awards Event.

Metso Paper was selected from among 16,000 suppliers who deal annually with Abitibi-Consolidated Inc. (ACI), to receive the gold award in the "Equipment and Technology" category. The award reflects exceptional service to ACI during the prior year and is based on an evaluation by the company's operations and head office.

"We are honored to receive such a prize after all the hard work and effort put forth by the entire Metso Paper organization to serve this customer," said Harri Parnanen, VP Sales for Metso Paper Ltd. "We will continue to work hard to win it again next year and in future years."
