Kappa Kraftliner has placed an order with Metso Paper Karlstad to rebuild linerboard machine PM 1 in Lövholmen, Piteå, Sweden.

The target is to increase production by improving the drying capacity and runnability of the machine. One dryer section with three Vac-rolls will be added, together with numerous runnability components. The entire rebuild will be done during the planned maintenance shutdown, in the fall of 2002.

"We were awarded this order in tough competition and this will be a good start for our ERI business in this market," says Kjell-Ove Jonsson, responsible for Service and ERI (Engineered Rebuilds and Improvements) – Sweden.
