Metso Paper acquires a maintenance company in France

Metso Paper has today entered into an agreement to purchase Mecanique et Depannage Industries s.a.r.l. (MDI), a French maintenance company. MDI is owned by three private individuals and it is located in Venicel northeast of Paris. The purchase price was not disclosed. Ownership of the company will transfer to Metso immediately.

Mecanique et Depannage Industries s.a.r.l. employs 30 people and it supplies maintenance services for the French paper industry.

This acquisition will complement and further strengthen Metso Paper’s position as a full lifecycle service provider for the pulp and paper industry. One of Metso's strategic goals is to broaden its aftermarket services and bring its service network even closer to its customers.
