Jukka Tiitinen, Area President of Metso's Paper and Fiber Technology, North America, has been named 2010 TAPPI Fellow.

Fellow is an honorary title given to individuals who have made extraordinary technical or service contributions to the pulp and paper industry and/or the TAPPI Association. The title is bestowed upon less than one percent of TAPPI’s membership.

“Tiitinen’s contributions to the paper industry worldwide are to be commended,” said Larry N. Montague, President and CEO of TAPPI. “From his early career in Finland to his work with Metso Paper North America, he has been a strong proponent of the association and its work. He served on our board of directors during our recent transition and has the vision to build a strong membership base.”

Along with Jukka Tiitinen, TAPPI named eight other Fellows for 2010. They represent the pulp and paper industry as well as related universities in Northern America and Europe.

Our warmest congratulations to Jukka for the nomination!
